In order to become a great lab technician, one must possess a number or hard skills and soft skills as well. It is important for them to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and ensure that issues and problems are reported on time to the lab manager. The best way to ensure that you learn what it takes to be a skilled Lab Technician is to pursue the right course for the same. While some course can be applied for right after 10th standard like some Diploma and Certificate Courses, most require the candidate to have finished his/her 12th standard exams. The eligibility criteria for a BSc Course is having completed a 10+2 in Science with a minimum aggregate score of 50% or more with a subject preference of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics and a University-level entrance test. For a Diploma course, the eligibility criteria are different with only a minimum aggregate score of 40% or more required with a merit-based entrance exam. The Undergraduate programs are all 3-years courses.
